"Lord of Lords" - Day 6

Revelation 17:14

They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is LORD OF LORDS and King of kings--and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.

To those not familiar with Christ, the verse above seems very silly. A “one-lamb” army triumphing as the Lord of lords? This is a very strange concept. However, as we saw earlier, Christ is only able to triumph as the slain lamb. It is by His sacrifice that he surpasses all other lords/gods. And we can see that in our daily lives. What rules over your life right now? Is it money, power, selfish ambition, vain conceit, another person? None of those sacrificed their life for you, for the world. And as we see in Romans 5:7-8: “Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” That is why Jesus is the Lord of lords, thank you God!
