(Start at the beginning HERE.)
"Lamb of God" - Day 2 Revelation 5:13 (NASB) And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the LAMB, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”
Jesus appears next to God, who is sitting on the throne, as the slain Lamb (Rev 5:6). And that is how he is worshiped. The lamb is a symbol of purity, innocence. He wasn't a sacrificial bull or a dove, but a lamb - an animal not yet grown. What would it take for us to sacrifice one of our own children or any child, not yet grown, to die for others who couldn't care less? But God did this, and while we were still sinners, Christ died for us - the spotless Lamb. Let's be thankful for this gift!
