Repost: November 1, 2014
Because I'm not quite ready for the main subject matter of this blog (myself), I will start with something better - Jesus. Starting in 2014, I decided to spend my favorite time of the year writing about my favorite subjects - Jesus and Thankfulness. A lot of people thought I copied and pasted these from some inspirational website, or that I was just forwarding on a chain email. However, all of these writings are original. The only copied material is the posted scriptures. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these throwbacks to the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. For me, I begin celebrating on November 1st, and continue up to Christmas Day, so there are 55 entries per season. And over the course of two years, that comes to 110 total. :-)
"Advocate" - Day 1 1 John 2:1 (New Living Translation) My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an ADVOCATE who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. Today, on this first day of November, let's be thankful for Jesus, who stands as our advocate - he washes us clean of any mistakes we have made, and clears the way for us to be forgiven, embraced and loved by God. In turn, we are able to love others with His perfect love as our example.
