(Start at the beginning HERE.)

"Light of the World" - Day 25 John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Not only does light provide warmth and illumination, but it is so much more. With advances in technology, we now know that light is both a wave and a particle. As the light of the world, Jesus brought warmth and illumination to the Jewish law. But more importantly, he was both God and man. He was completely unique. Jesus experienced personal pain on the cross and immense human suffering in all around him as a man. He in his human form lost his friend Lazarus to death, and saw incredible hurt in those who came to him for healing. On the other hand, no one else was there when the Lord set the stars in their place, laid the foundations of the earth, and put boundaries to the seas. Let's be thankful for our incredible, one-of-a-kind Savior - Jesus Christ, who brought light to our darkness.
