(Start at the beginning HERE.)

"Mighty God" - Day 32 Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus as the Mighty God in human form did not have power as we see it. He was not a physical specimen like Sampson, he didn't have political influence and riches like Solomon, and Jesus was not considered to be part of the ruling class - but his actions were the mightiest the world has ever seen. How hard is it to be perfect? We can't get through 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute without making mistakes. But the mightiness of Jesus shone through a lifetime of perfect acts culminating in death - to atone for the sins of the world. This is how we should measure power. The capacity to give ourselves for others, despite their treatment of us, is how we can become more like Christ. Let's give thanks for Jesus as the Mighty God who showed us the true measure of a person.
