"Amen" - Day 42 2 Corinthians 1:19-20 For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “AMEN” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
Amen can also mean "so be it", or "truly". We end our prayers with "amen", just as Jesus did - asking that what we pray would "so be it" in God's sovereign will. And under God, everything happens exactly according to His plan, it is always yes. And we see promises full of wonder fulfilled as well. If you follow Jesus, YES you will be free indeed from death. You will not taste it. It is true that we will all die, but if you are in Christ, you will not experience the sting of death. If you follow Jesus, YES you are free from sin. It is true that we all sin, but in Christ sin does not have the final word. If you follow Jesus, YES you are always loved and you are never alone. Jesus will never leave us or forsake us and he pays the price for us to be with him eternally in heaven in the glory of his love. Thanks be to God for our yes's, our Jesus, The Amen!
