Day 17 - Jesus as a healer

Prophesied in Scripture: He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3

Fulfilled in Scripture: Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Matthew 9:35-36

Jesus is a healer. Not only that, but Jesus is the most amazing healer the world has ever seen. Death was not too much for him to heal on a physical level, and the greatest broken heart could be restored by him. But do we still believe that? Miracles aren't things of ancient times dear friends. Let's dare each other to see what battered-beyond-repair parts of our bodies and souls we can bring before our loving physician. And even before he has done the work, and he CAN do the work, let us give thanks. For we know, at the very least, he has new bodies and shining clean souls ready for us when our time comes.
