Day 29 - Christ's victory proclaimed

Prophesied in Scripture: They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it! Psalm 22:31

Fulfilled in Scripture:

1. When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:31

2. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.” Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. Revelation 5:4,5,9

No matter how dire your circumstances may be, you can always hold victory in your heart because of Christ's sacrifice. Giving up his life on the cross brought true hope back into the world. We now can defeat death. My prayer for you is that when you face the darkest night, and it seems that a happy ending can never happen, always remember that Jesus has already ensured you victory. Whether things turn out as you wish, or they don't align with your plans, regardless our great triumph happened thousands of years ago on a bloodstained cross. Jesus has healed the world, do not weep, he finished God's greatest work in you!
