Servant of all

They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he [Jesus] asked them,

“What were you arguing about on the road?”

But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said,

“Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.” Mark 9:33-35

In times of hardship, suffering, divisiveness, victory, mountaintops, excitement, any and every situation - we MUST be servants to all, no questions asked. Whether you are "right" and they are "wrong", we are called to serve ALL. There was not one single person that Jesus didn't/wouldn't heal. I'm sure that all of them didn't agree with him 100% ideologically or theologically, but he served them anyway. He loved them anyway. He even served and died for the Pharisees and teachers of the law whom he called "snakes", "brood of vipers", "hypocrites", and "blind guides". He didn't say as he died on the cross - "I'm going to save everyone from their sins - except for those rotten apples over there." And THANK GOD that he didn't! Because you and I would not stand a chance. Brothers and sisters, while we were still sinners/vipers/hypocrites Christ died for us. We may as well have been the ones hammering the nails into his hands. Let us never forget and always be thankful for the grace given to us and may we show the same to our fellow man.
