Don’t be afraid. I’m the first and the last, and the living one. I was dead, but look! Now I’m alive forever and always. I have the keys of Death and the Grave. Rev 1:17-18
In all the busyness of the end of the year, we may (or may not) remember Jesus, and we may even go so far as to tell ourselves to remember him throughout the year, not just during the Christmas season - but as we are wrapped up in December, let's remember that even though his birth in ages past was a glorious event, right now in this day Jesus is TRULY alive. He is more alive in every sense of the word than when he drew his first breath as a tiny baby oh so long ago in that manger. Let's never forget that to experience life fully as it was first intended in the Garden of Eden is to become one with God. When we lose ourselves in the grandeur of our Lord, our God Himself, and unite ourselves with His Son and Holy Spirit - that is to be truly alive. Let's go forth this December and not forget to love with God's strength, to live well.
I took this photo as we were driving up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
