"The Truth" - Day 51
Jesus answered, “I am the way and THE TRUTH and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
A while back, we saw Jesus referred to as God's Word, now we also see him as God's Truth. These are one and the same. Everything from God is true. And Jesus as His son is Truth. The greatest and "truest" truth is Christ's life. The purity of his actions and his methods in living out God's love for us are the only facts we will ever need to know. And these are not "cold" logical facts, because when Jesus said, "you do know him and have seen him" he meant that we no longer have an impersonal and faceless god. We have, in Jesus, a god we can come to know and see. The truth of the Bible - the whole entire bible from the fall of man to Christ's anticipated second coming - was woven into the life of our Truth. Everything in the Bible was written to point to Jesus because God wanted to put a face to Himself and His love story. Let us give thanks for Jesus, the Truth, who flawlessly loved God and loved his neighbor as himself to sum up the law and the prophets for us.
