His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said:
“Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."
Merry Christmas! Jesus is alive! He was born on this earth as a baby, died for our sins, he rose again, and now he lives in heaven. Whether you like it or not, that is the Truth. There's nothing more honest than the life of Christ. If anyone should doubt that this is true, all they need to do is ask God to help them understand (James 1:5). Jesus is not some dusty words on a forgotten page of history, made up by an imperfect person with nothing better to do but lead people astray. He is life everlasting, our comfort, and our hope. He is a constant presence and help in time of trouble, and you can't get to God except through him. I hope you have a truly wonderful Christmas season, but even more so I hope you can carry the Spirit of Jesus in your heart throughout the year.
