David himself said in the Holy Spirit, "The Lord said to my Lord: 'Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet .' " -Mark 12:36
God is abundant in love, grace, and forgiveness. However, He is also indignant, just, and wrathful to any who would try to harm His children. He is sorrowful and angry at those who would try to corrupt His perfect creation. It must be acknowledged that we sin, we fall short of God's glory, and we wrong each other, but "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). Jesus is a gentle lamb who went to slaughter for us, but He is at the very same time the one who "His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will clear His threshing floor, gathering His wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire" (Matthew 3:12). By the wisdom of the Holy Spirit, let's join in this work with God to drive away evil and to regain lost ground back for the Kingdom.
